About Kirk Elliott
Kirk Elliott is a highly accomplished artist with a diverse background in both science and photography. He holds a double major Bachelor of Science in Geology and Chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. Although his primary passion has always been photography, he received a scholarship from the European Development Fund to pursue training in Geology according to Saint Lucia’s exploration of Geothermally derived electricity. He has made significant contributions to the field of photography, being a Master Photographer, Sustainable Tourism Ambassador, and National Geographic Certified Educator. Kirk is also the creator of the popular St Lucia Photo Tour, a niche tourism excursion that aims to showcase authentic Saint Lucian culture through the lens of photography. Kirk's photography expertise is widely recognized, and he has been affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), and the St. Lucia Association of Professional Photographers (SLAPP), where he served as the inaugural president. His work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times and Newsweek Magazine, and he has worked with reputable clients including BMW (St. Lucia), the office of the Prime Minister, and the Saint Lucia Tourist Board, among others.
